designing girls’ educational complex(preschool, elementary, junior high school) using native architecture with a climatic approach

school as an effective place in any area that in fact is used by a stratum of society should be in a way that according to the geographic and climatic conditions provide favorable situation to meet the humanitarian needs and create desirable environment for comfortable learning and teaching. lack of educational places in bandar abbas city and the need to design and manage school spaces and considering the local architecture based on the environment and climate of bandar abbas is of particular importance.

the study is aimed at taking a step toward creating a suitable environment for learning according to the principles of the architectural design of the school space (in three levels of: pre-school, elementary and junior high school) and finally presents the design of educational complex according to the climate of bandar abbas.

in this regard, the first sketch of educational complex was drawn with collecting indexes and standards of architecture from different sources consistent with the climate and then the sample design was compared to houses of fekri, galbatan, behzad and the final plan was drawn up. the results showed that the designed complex that is retrieved from the local parameters of bandar abbas city such as climate, wind direction, lighting level, humidity level and ambient temperature is has a good adaptation with the climate of bandar abbas, because the air flow and the wind flow direction is designed perpendicular on the wind blow and also due to the use of enough air flow and inner space and also lower use of artificial ways to cool the space on economical view are designed in a way that in winter lead enough light in inner spaces and in the other seasons of the year provide space cooling with the lowest cost.
