• electrodeposition of mwcnt-co3o4 nanocomposite onto tio2 nanotubes for supercapacitor application

    co3o4/mwcnt/tio2nts/ti electrodes with high surface area and good capacitive characteristics were prepared by electrdeposition of multe-walled carbon nanotubes-co3o4 nanocomposite onto previously formed tio2 nanotubes by anodizing of titanium. the structure and morphology of the obtained electrodes were characterized by x-ray diffraction, edx analysis and scanning electron microscopy. microstructure studies show that co3o4/mwcnt having high surface area has been deposited onto the tio2nts arrays. the electro chemical capacitive behaviors of the obtained electrodes were investigated by cyclic voltammetry (cv), galvanostatic charge-discharge studies, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (eis) in 1 m koh solution. the electrochemical data demonstrated that the electrodes displayed specific capacitance of 130 m f cm−2 at the current density of 0.5 ma cm−2.
